Regulatory Agency Experience

Garcia and Associates' project managers have worked extensively with federal and state resource agencies, including the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB), California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW), and San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC).

Our team has particular expertise with the various state and federal laws and regulations governing natural resources in the region, including both state and federal Endangered Species Acts (ESAs), the California Native Plant Act, the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, Bald Eagle and Golden Eagle Protection Act, the California Fish and Game Code, the Federal Clean Water Act (CWA), the Porter-Cologne Act, and city/county tree ordinances. GANDA managers regularly prepare application packages and required documentation to obtain state and/or federal permits pursuant to necessary laws and regulations, including:
